Banksy, the world’s most famous anonymous graffiti artist and political activist, has covered the planet in his work from London to Paris to Los Angeles and back again. His thought-provoking work is now in Barcelona with over 100 reproductions of his work. The World of Banksy Exhibition is on display throughout 2020 at Espacio Trafalgar in Barcelona’s El Born neighborhood.
Though this exhibition has not directly received Artist Approval, the gallery was created by a team of 10 graffiti artists who also wished to remain anonymous with the aspiration of spreading Banksy’s messages. Plus, Banksy has been quoted:
“I still encourage anyone to copy, borrow, steal and amend my art for amusement, academic research, or activism.” -Banksy
The exhibition features two floors of Banksy’ works in a moody and intriguing setup. The World of Banksy includes graphic homages to the November 2015 Paris attacks and his more famous creations like the famous Balloon Girl and Kissing Coppers.
